5 Must-See Zoomtopia Sessions To Add To Your Calendar
Zoomtopia is Zoom’s annual user and partner conference. In 2021, the event remains virtual and will be hosted via Zoom’s own event functionality.
Make sure you sign up to Zoomtopia to register for sessions and build your own agenda.
Zoomtopia runs from 13th September to 14th September 2021 and includes sessions to cater to audiences across all regions. Zoom Partner connect follows on 15th September – exclusive to partners, integrators, and resellers of Zoom.
Here are five of our favorite sessions you definitely shouldn’t miss at this edition of Zoomtopia.
1 – Americas Executive Keynote
When? Mon 13th Sept at 8:30 am – 10:00 am PDT.
Eric Yuan will open the Zoomtopia virtual conference on the back of a monumental year of Zoom adoption.
Significant milestones include:
- 300 million daily meeting participants
- 3.5 trillion annual meeting minutes
- One million Zoom Phone seats sold
- Zoom Events platform launched
- Acquisition of Five9
Users, partners, and industry commentators will be on the edge of their seats waiting to see what is announced in the keynote and throughout Zoomtopia.
Eric will be joined by the following speakers as they introduce the future vision for Zoom:
- Oded Gal, Chief Product Officer.
- Heidi Elmore, Head of UCaaS.
- Pankaj Prasad, Head of Zoom Events.
- Jordan Thiel, Product Manager.
- Cynthia Lee, Lead Product Manager.
- Nitasha Walia, Group Product Manager.
- Vi Chau, Head of Zoom Phone Product.
- Jeff Smith, Head of Zoom Rooms.
- Ross Mayfield, Product Lead, Zoom Apps & Integrations.
2 – Zoom Chat Update and Roadmap
When? Mon 13th Sept at 12pm PDT.
Any fan or user of Zoom Chat will be eagerly awaiting new features and updates to the platform. As some users sought a remedy or preventative measure for Zoom fatigue, having a business chat tool built-in has proved more than popular.
The Zoom roadmap includes the latest and greatest features but who knows what will be announced this Zoomtopia?
With “Slack-like” functionality, users of other platforms (like Microsoft Teams) are now split down the middle. Half prefer Teams and half prefer Zoom Chat.
If you’re struggling to keep hold of your conversations because you’re constantly switching platforms, get on the waitlist for Zoom Chat interoperability with Microsoft Teams, Webex, and Slack.
3 – EMEA – Zoomtopia Product Keynote: The Future of Video-First Communication
When? Tue 14th Sept at 5 am PDT.
Oded Gal, Chief Product Officer at Zoom, will present how Zoom is building a culture of relentless innovation in a world some of us are still getting used to.
As Zoom has played such a big part in how people work remotely and on the move, this session will include how Zoom is shaping our future and shows us what possibilities it may hold.
Sneak peek: while we are in a video-first world, it’s not only video communications that will shape how we work in the future.
4 – Work Smarter with Zoom Integrations for Microsoft Office 365
When? Tues 14th Sept at 11 am PDT.
Microsoft Office 365 is used by over a million companies worldwide, with over 731,000 companies in the United States alone using it.
Naturally, as Zoom has launched new integrations on its marketplace, integration with Microsoft Office 365 has been in high demand.
Nicholas Costa, Senior Product Manager at Zoom, and Matt Christopher, Market Intelligence Lead, will present several options to connect Microsoft apps with Zoom video, messaging, and calling functions.
5 – What’s New with Zoom Admin Controls?
When? 14th Sept at 11.30 am PDT.
If you haven’t grasped it by now, we’re rather big fans of Zoom Chat! Earlier in the year, Zoom announced new chat admin settings to make administration and management simpler and more effective.
As Zoom is committed to becoming an all-in-one collaboration hub, Zoom admins should look forward to how much easier their lives will be with new admin controls and access.
