File Sync lets Microsoft users collaborate on Google Drive documents, and similarly, lets Google users collaborate on Microsoft SharePoint documents without having to manage another set of credentials, and with no additional license fees.

Leverage IdPs to enable cross-platform access

By adding the Microsoft Identity Provider (IdP) in the Google Workspace Admin Console, Teams users will be able to access Google Drive documents using their Teams credentials. Similarly, by adding Google Workspace IdP in Microsoft Azure, Google Chat users will be able to access SharePoint documents using their Google credentials.

Getting started with Mio and File Sync

The unique combination of 3rd party IdP configuration with Mio's ability to sync accounts is what enables File Sync. Users can immediately begin sharing files, knowing that the intended audience will always be able to access them.
